Donohue & Partners, P.C., with its predecessor originally formed on July 1, 1985, was formed as a litigation firm specializing in liability defense work. Over the years the firm has expanded its operations to include various transactional matters in areas such as real estate and corporate merger and acquisition for small business and individuals in both New York and New Jersey.
The firm has extensive experience handling a variety of lawsuits in both Federal and State Courts. Its major clients include Progressive Insurance Company, West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, Cambridge Integrated Services, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Hyatt Legal Plans, and Bonstone Materials. We have also handled litigation for Nationwide Insurance Company, Scottsdale Insurance Company, and Travelers/Aetna Property Casualty Corporation.
Our business philosophy, simply put, is as follows: We strive to create value in the legal services we provide by being cost-effective in every undertaking. We expect to be judged by the results we obtain for our clients. Our rates are reasonable and fair, and our expertise provides value to the client.
One of the unique qualities of Donohue & Partners, P.C. is its commitment to a "one-on-one" relationship with the client. Oftentimes, clients are frustrated due to the lack of communication with and perceived inattention by law firms towards the client’s stated needs and desires regarding the matters being handled by the firm.
To avoid these problems and better serve the client, at Donohue & Partners one of the firm's partners oversees the entire client account, and, at any time, due to the close supervision of each client’s case load, that partner is available to meet with the client or answer any questions the client may have.
We do not take a preordained approach to solving issues, but rather pride ourselves on being creative, innovative, and flexible in our problem solving and transactional tasks. We treat our clients as partners in a mutual enterprise and in doing so create an environment for long-term relationships.

When it is appropriate, associates and paralegals are utilized to handle case related tasks. We are of the philosophy that paralegal use should be utilized whenever practical, especially in light of the escalation of litigation costs over the past few years.
With an effective and well-supervised paralegal staff, the legal expenses incurred by the client can be reduced substantially. The partners' involvement is
dependent upon the complexity of the case and consists, for the most part, of close overall supervision, trial time and direct contact with the clients.
